The new Silicon Valley venture capital firm Sekhmet Ventures makes its second investment, taking a minority stake in natural indie fragrance brand Heretic Parfum.
WHO: Los Angeles-based Heretic Parfum was founded by Douglas Little and manufactures small-batch, artisanal, gender-neutral fragrances using only naturally derived materials. The brand utilizes alcohol derived from organic sugarcane and just launched a CBD-based fragrance called Dirty Grass.
Sekhmet Ventures is a venture capital company in Silicon Valley that invests worldwide in science-based companies addressing the clean beauty and wellness market. Sekhmet Ventures has assembled a team which supports its portfolio companies with expertise in manufacturing and regulatory compliance. This infrastructure and support not only accelerate the growth and de-risk the business plans of the portfolio companies, they also increase the efficiency of the Seed through Series B investments on which the firm is focused.
